Whats next for Arsenal after Europa upset ?

Among all, there have been no Glory in Europe for Arsenal and Wednesday was another opportunity to change the tide, yet again Arsenal lost a final in Europe. This time the most humiliating of all, 4-1 it ended as a brace from Hazard, helped the blues to lift the Europa  league. It would be his last game for the club and also it mean no champions league football for the Gunners next season.
The game on Wednesday summed up Arsenal’s season, and Looking back at the change the fans hoped for this season, they got nothing, nothing much has changed. Their poor performance away from home remained constant, their defense was worse, the midfield was barely creative all season and their attackers found it difficult converting chances. However, their performance against big teams this season recorded a slight increase, beating Man United, Chelsea, Tottenham, and managing a draw against Liverpool(all at home) in a season hasn’t been a characteristics of Arsenal we’ve known in recent years. All these won’t matter much if there would be no champions league next season for them, and no silverware to ponder upon.

What’s next for Emery?

After a disappointing first season at Arsenal, he didn't quiet reach his target. The players weren’t helpful to his course and in a number of occasions his tactical choices were clueless and illogical. One example was against Crystal Palace at the Emirates, where he decided to rest his best players available ahead of a midweek game against wolves. Well, he didn’t win the game, and sadly, he couldn’t win wolves, that went on ahead to shatter his dreams of a top 4 finish. Wednesday night could be added to the list, while a lot of people are looking at the overall poor result, tactically he got it a bit wrong, or perhaps luck didn’t shine his way. An Arsenal squad lacking a proficient winger, opting for a 3-4-3 formation was the least recommended for a fast Chelsea team. And each time they lost the ball in the midfield, the defence was exposed. And that lead to two of the goals. So I the dawn of a new season, among other things, Emery has to make a change to his tactics and adopt one which would suit arsenal as a team and the demand of the premier league.

As has been Arsenal’s custom over the years, much money won’t be given to Emery to bring in new players. According to the news reaching us from sources around the club, he would be given a budget of 40 million pounds to spend on new players this summer, but if Arsenal has to move forward next season, there has to be a complete alteration to this squad. Being uninvolved in the champion’s league next season, it would be hard to attract the big names, but we are in an era in football where with the right amount you can acquire any player. Emery would have to sell some players to raise extra funds for the window. And some key players probably marked out already are Mustafi, Mkhitaryan, Ozil and kolasinac.
Arsenal are yet to get a replacement for the departing trio, chech, Ramsey and Welbeck and So far they have not come close to making any signing. Rumors going round are suggesting that, Wilfred Zaha, Gotze and Ryan Fraser could be coming to the club this summer, but none of these are looking like they’re going to materialize in the coming weeks.

It’s now or never for Emery, as failure to take Arsenal to the champions league next season might lead to being shown the exit door. He can take positives however from his counterpart, Jürgen Klopp, his first season at Liverpool ended with a 3-1 loss to sevilla in the Europa league finals, and 8th on the log at the end of the season. But today Liverpool has grown into a very stable club than when he met them. Emery can do the same, but the problem is that he might not have much time and money like Liverpool, and when Arsenal showed Wenger the exit door, they were hoping a new coach would get them back to their prime quickly. So the weights of their whole expectations are on him.
